Ormond Beach Mainstreet to hold its 14th Annual Riverfest Seafood Festival

Posted in: Ormond Beach

Ormond Beach Mainstreet’s 14th Annual Riverfest Seafood Festival returns to Rockefeller Gardens bigger and better than ever on Nov. 18 & 19, 2023 – always a FREE ADMISSION EVENT.

In addition to many changes Ormond Mainstreet is making this year, they have added to our FREE parking a 20 passenger, pedal-powered pontoon boat to deliver folks back and forth from parking at Cassen Park.

Ormond Mainstreet has also enhanced and relocated our Kid’s Zone to the main park to better accommodate families.

Visitors will also enjoy a larger beverage garden, complete with a “pop-up pub” live streaming football games all weekend long, expanded food vendors, displays and merchandise, live music, and so much more – making “Riverfest” Ormond Beach’s biggest festival.

FRESH FISH, SEAFOOD AND FAMILY FUN AT THE 14TH ANNUAL RIVERFEST

The Riverfest Seafood Festival returns to Ormond Beach with all the fresh fish, family fun and fall festival delights that attendees have come to expect at this annual celebration of life along the water. Visit Rockefeller Gardens on November 18-19 to find our park filled to the brim with food & merchandise vendors, live music, hours of free kid’s activities, a draft beer garden with TV’s to catch your favorite football team, cars on exhibit thanks to the Turkey Rod Run, and so much more.

Be sure to come hungry. In the mood for crab cakes? Fried shrimp? Fish and chips? Seafood platter? Maybe your tastes run to burgers & fries? Barbeque? Gyros? You’ll find it all at Riverfest along with fried Oreos, ice cream, kettle corn and more.

Sit back and enjoy live entertainment with your fabulous food. Saturday features Sara Strickhouser playing your favorite country and pop, and Clayton and Diane Park playing a mix of classic rock, classic country and blues, as well as Sesame Plexer, a high energy rock’n roll cover band from Daytona that plays throughout Central Florida. On Sunday, come see Are Friends Electric – a punk-laced indie pop group that are focused and fresh, yet familiar. They are a dash of David Bowie, a sprinkle of Blondie and the Beatles, the Pretenders or Prince — it’s a little bit nostalgic for the ’80s, while charging forward into whatever’s next. Also playing will be The Vibe, featuring soul, funk, jazz and R&B.

Worried about missing the big game? Don’t be! We have flat-screen TVs playing all the weekend’s biggest rivalries in our beer garden.

This Ormond Beach tradition is about so much more than food. Held right along Ormond’s sparkling riverfront, the event features all-day activities including paddleboard adventures led by Waters Edge, local artisans, and endless kid’s activities. Kiddos can join in on the community build with blocks project. Stay awhile for the coloring & crafts, balloon art, bouncy houses, and appearances with a local children’s book author. Still have more energy to burn? Put on a knockerball and play a bubble game or join the giant foam party!

Of course, our popular Kid Fish fishing clinic will be back this year – sponsored by Hull’s Seafood. Kids ages 4-12 can go through our learning stations to find out more about casting, knot tying and ethical angling. When they are finished, they can take home one of our 300 free fishing poles while supplies last.

This year Riverfest runs Saturday, November 18 from 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday, November 19 from 10 am – 4 pm. Free admission and free parking make it easy to enjoy the great variety of planned activities on the riverfront. For the first time ever, Paddle Pub will be ferrying folks across the river! You can board the pontoon at the dock located at Cassen Park, and from the beach at Fortunato Park. Additionally, a free shuttle service sponsored by Realty Pros from two remote parking lots makes parking even easier. Take a look at the website for parking locations.

Check our Facebook event page for updated schedules of music and vendors. For more information about the Festival, please contact the Ormond Main Street office at office@ormondmainstreet.com 386/492-2938.
