City of Ormond Closes City Owned Playgrounds

Posted in: Ormond Beach

The City of Ormond Beach will close all city-owned playgrounds, Nova Recreational Center (all areas), and the fitness equipment at Fortunato Park beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2020 until further notice. These have been deemed high-traffic areas prone to gathering and group activities, and after careful consideration, we have decided to close these areas in support of maintaining the CDC social distancing guidelines.

Our city parks and trails remain open to allow individuals and small immediate family groups access to green space. We ask that all residents remain mindful of social distancing guidelines and that they stay 6-feet apart and avoid gathering in groups of 10 or more.
