Volusia County Libraries To Launch Volusia Reads Stories! Live Facebook Story Time Events

Volusia County Libraries are implementing new model to provide services while protecting the public. Doing its part to protect the public from coronavirus spread, Volusia County’s library system will transition to online, telephone and curbside service beginning Monday. Children’s story time, a popular feature at Volusia’s libraries, will be streamed live on Facebook starting next week.

Starting on March 24th, The Volusia County Library will broadcast Volusia Reads Stories! Live Facebook events Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. 

3/24 will be presented by staff at the Deltona Regional Library with the theme “Pigs, Elephants & Friends” Click here for the Facebook invite

3/25 will be presented by staff at the Edgewater Public Library with the theme “Oceans” Click here for the Facebook invite

3/26 will be presented by staff at the Daytona Beach Regional Library with the theme  “Sweet on Stories” Click here for the Facebook invite

Facebook invites have been create and we welcome comments during the live stream. New invitations and information will be posted by each Friday for the following week.

This is a great opportunity for the library to provide this new service so that the kids and caregivers will be able to see their favorite storytime staff from their homes.
