Fired Up for a Cure

Posted in: All Ages, Ormond Beach

Ormond Beach Firefighters Charities invites you to come out and join its “Fired Up for a Cure” event on Sunday, October 7, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Men’s Refinery in the Gaslamp Shoppes, 50 East Granada Blvd. We are battling cancer by buzzing heads.

This will be a fun filled evening with food, local beer, drinks, and music to benefit the “Light the Way” local charity which helps cancer patients and their families with their individual needs in Volusia County. One hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds will be donated to Light the Way. An Ormond Beach fire truck will also be on site with handouts!

The highlight of the evening will be watching local firefighters get their heads shaved! Many fire departments in Volusia County are participating, so come out and join the fun. From Ormond Beach, you won’t want to miss seeing Police Chief Jesse Godfrey and Fire Battalion Commander Nate Quartier get their heads shaved in the fight against cancer!

You can join the fight too by having your head shaved or getting a colored hair extension. There will be some great items in the Silent Auction and there will also be a 50/50 raffle.

If you are unable to attend, you can make a donation at: https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/ormond-fire-deparment .
