To make it more convenient for children to receive dental services, dental hygienists from the Department of Health are visiting Volusia County’s elementary schools. During the school day, dental sealant teams assess each child’s oral health and provide nutritional counseling, fluoride treatments, cleanings and dental sealants. There’s no cost, and all children in the school are eligible.
