Pine Ridge High School is located in Deltona serving approximately 1,700 students and is an award-winning community high school. The school offers an extensive program of studies and extracurricular activities to challenge and motivate all students. Pine Ridge High School provides a variety of programs, such as Cambridge/ AICE, Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) that give students an opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school. The school also offers a gold-level Healthcare Academy, Advanced Manufacturing/STEAM Academy, Animal Science program, AVID {Advancement Via Independent Determination} program and the Air Force Junior ROTC program. The academies and programs at Pine Ridge High School also allow students to earn career-related industry certifications. Pine Ridge High School creates a high achieving cultural environment of opportunities for individualized student support.

HEALTHCARE ACADEMY – Gold Level Academy

The Academy provides training for students interested in any of the three following career areas: athletic training and advanced sciences; first responder; and fire rescue services. Students are rigorously prepared through integrated projects in core and CTE courses and through the Academy’s unique partnership with Florida Hospital.

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING/STEAM ACADEMY

The Academy prepares students for post-secondary education in engineering and technology, as well as direct entry careers in design, machining, robotics, programming and fabrication through the use of industry standard equipment and integration with rigorous core courses. Academy students produce aerospace quality parts for NASA’s HUNCH program to use on the International Space Station and are active in GreenpowerUSA Racing and SeaPerch Robotics competitions.

ADDITIONAL CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) OPPORTUNITIES

CTE programs prepare secondary students with technical, academic and employability skills for success in the workplace and in further education. CTE programs may provide post-secondary dual enrollment, industry certification and work-based learning opportunities. The School offers the following CTE programs: Allied Health Assisting; Applied Cybersecurity; Animal Science and Services; Automation and Production Technology; Culinary Arts; Digital Media/Multimedia Design; Early Childhood Education; and Veterinary Assisting.
