HEALTH SERVICES ACADEMY – Gold Level Academy

The Academy prepares students for careers in the field of health care. Through strong partnerships with Florida Hospital, and the local health care community, students participate in intensive medical preparation combined with career-related and core academics. Academy students take part in a unique learning environment that prepares them for direct entry and/or post-secondary preparation in this growing industry.

ACADEMY OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE

The Academy prepares students for careers in the felds of food science and related agricultural careers. The Academy blends agriculture, farm to table, food chemistry, and culinary skills with core academics. Students engage with various guest speakers, take part in job shadowing opportunities, participate in feld studies, and learn hands-on skills utilizing the land lab.

ADDITIONAL CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) OPPORTUNITIES

CTE programs prepare secondary students with technical, academic and employability skills for success in the workplace and in further education. CTE programs may provide post-secondary dual enrollment, industry certification and work-based learning opportunities. The School offers the following CTE programs: Agritechnology; Building Trades and Construction Design Technology; Culinary Arts; Digital Media/Multimedia Design; Digital Video Technology; Early Childhood Education; Food Science Applications; and Promotional Enterprise.
