Incredibly hard to believe but the Class of 2021 will be walking across the stage at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center in just a couple of months. Before you get too sad on me, please take a second and save the date for your favorite senior. All graduations are at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center unless otherwise noted.
Volusia County Schools is pleased to announce the number of graduation tickets for the Class of 2021 graduates has been increased again, to eight tickets each.
Graduation ceremonies will be held June 3-6 at the Ocean Center. Health and safety guidelines will be in place, with all in attendance required to wear face-coverings and to socially distance to the greatest extent possible. Families should contact their high schools with any questions about ticket sales or graduation.
In addition to the increase to eight tickets per graduate, VCS will professionally live-stream the ceremonies to allow extended family to watch remotely. The ceremonies will also be recorded and posted on the district website. If you will not be in attendance, you may watch the graduation on the Volusia County Schools Live Stream and that link is here.
VCS will continue to follow CDC guidelines and keep families updated on any changes. Admission will be $3 per person. Parking will be $5 for ceremonies at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center. Tickets will be pre-sold by each of the high schools.
The policy for guests attending the graduation ceremonies include the following:
-Each ticket holder, including children, may carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse:
-One clear bag no larger than 12”x6”x12” or a one-gallon clear Ziploc, or similar, bag
-One small clutch bag or purse no larger than 6.5”x6.5”, with or without a strap
-Diapers and wipes may be carried in a clear bag; however, diaper bags are not permitted.
-Additional clothing, blankets, etc. are permitted if carried loosely (preferably over the shoulder to be screened more quickly) or in an approved clear bag.
-Small cameras, binoculars and cell phones may be carried loosely or in an approved clear bag.
