Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. Head Start/Early Head Start Program is Now Accepting Applications for the 2020-2021 School Year!
These no cost programs promote school readiness of children ages birth to five from income eligible families by supporting the development of the whole child. The Head Start/Early Head Start programs are based in centers and schools in Volusia, Hernando, and Sumter counties. We also offer an Early Head Start Home-Base program in Volusia County and The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program (VPK) is offered at select Head Start Locations.
They offer a variety of learning, health, family, and well-being services which includes opportunities such as:
· Frequent medical screenings, immunizations and dental services
· Diapering & Toilet Training (including free diapers)
· Healthy nutritional assistance (including free meals & formula)
· Referral services for a range of individual child and family needs
· Opportunities for parents to participate in school decision making
