VCS (Middle and High School) Students and Families:

Now that we have a plan in place for core instruction, we would like to provide guidance on our non-core classes. As you are adjusting to learning at home, you will have options for your non-core courses.

Beginning on Monday, March 30, you will begin core instruction and will also complete an Instructional Continuity Log (ICL) for each of your non-core classes. The ICL offers a few examples of continued learning in those content areas. Unless your teacher has communicated a different plan for learning, you will use this log through April 10. Please record at least one hour per week for each of your non-core classes (150 minutes per week for PE).

Career & Technical Education (CTE) teachers will communicate a different plan of instruction by April 3 for the week of April 6 – 10.

Advanced Programs (AICE, IB, AP) teachers will also communicate a different plan of instruction by April 3 for the week of April 6-10.

The ICL and its instructions are accessible through the student’s V-Portal. Students, please look for the icon below. A printed copy will be available at your school site if needed. Please send the completed document to your teacher by Friday, April 3, and again on Friday, April 10, unless alternative plans were communicated to you by your teacher.

If you need additional information regarding AICE/IB/AP/CTE/JROTC, please keep reading.
