The cast of more than 70 dancers in this magnificent production comes from 19 participating dance studios and 11 choreographers. Combined with musical entertainers from local schools, this event is a collaborative community project.

Set to the classical music of the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the story comes alive when a young girl Clara receives a magical nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve from her mysterious magician Uncle Drosselmeyer. Clara goes on a magical adventure and meets new friends along the way.

During the performances, the Peabody lobby will be transformed into a quaint German village. Patrons can purchase unique Nutcracker gifts from Uncle Drosselmeyer’s Magical Toy Shop and indulge in sweet delights from the breathtaking Kingdom of Sweets Shoppe.

For a full VIP treatment, patrons can turn a Saturday night’s show into a full immersion with early entry into the venue, a pre-show VIP reception with hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and desserts, two free drinks, live music entertainment and meet guest artists and lead cast members. The VIP experience add-on is $35 plus applicable fees per person in addition to the show ticket.

The always highly anticipated Children’s Sugar Plum Tea is offered on Sunday at 1 p.m. Children ages 3-12 will enjoy sweet confections, petite tea sandwiches and other holiday treats in a fairytale atmosphere with beautifully decorated trees and tables. A few of our Nutcracker Characters will make an appearance to sign autographs and pose for photos to enhance the holiday experience. Sugar Plum Tea add-on is $20, plus applicable fees, in addition to the child’s show ticket.
