The School District of Volusia County will sponsor its 14th Annual High School Showcase Event on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Volusia County Fairgrounds/Tommy Lawrence Arena, 3150 East New York Avenue in Deland.
Seventh and Eighth grade students and their parents will have the opportunity to learn about the career academy, career and technical education (CTE), international baccalaureate (IB) programs, Cambridge/Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) and other school programs available in each of Volusia County’s ten high schools. Teachers, and students who are currently enrolled in these programs, will be on-site to speak with 7th and 8th grade students and parents. Printed copies of the District Career Academy Application, IB Application and Cambridge/AICE Application will be available at school tables. In addition, representatives will be available to answer questions about district sponsored programs such as ESOL, dual enrollment, Volusia Online Learning, industry certifications, ESE, and school health. Administrative personnel from each high school will be present to communicate individual school information. The High School Showcase Event is free and open to the public.
