The 2019-20 school year will include some big changes for Volusia County School students, parents and staff. Some of these changes include new instructional materials, a new district website, parent portal, school schedules, bus schedules and changes in the uniform policy.
New school hours
Elementary – 7:50 AM-2:30 PM
Middle – 9:30 AM-4:15 PM
High – 8:30 AM-3:30 PM
*Plus 1 and Combo school hours are different.

Bus schedules
Parents and students can now go to the parent portal for a student’s transportation eligibility and bus routes. Here’s a link to the transportation page on the Volusia County School district website that explains how it works, which you can access by clicking here.
Before the Bell program offered at middle schools
Volusia County Schools’ Before the Bell program (BTB) offers before school supervision and activities at twelve middle schools each school day for students registered in the program. Before the Bell provides a safe environment for students to work on homework, explore new hobbies and interests, develop friendships and social skills, and participate in varying activities each week. Uniform Changes
High School students can now wear any solid color collared polo or oxford shirt or school-related t-shirts and any solid color bottoms. The Volusia County Schools updated Uniform Policy can be found by clicking here.
