On May 20th, Join The Daytona Beach News-Journal as they celebrate and honor the accomplishments of the 2018-2019 All-Star high school student athletes at the annual Best of Volusia/Flagler Preps Awards.
The Best of Volusia/Flagler Preps awards banquet is the News-Journal’s way of saying thank you to the thousands of outstanding high school athletes, coaches, and fans who allow us to share their stories, performances and passions.
Sponsored by Halifax Health, Daytona Hyundai, and Jon Hall Chevrolet and supported by ICI Homes,the event honors the top performers in 23 sports from Volusia and Flagler County schools. Awards will be presented to the Outstanding Player of the Year in each sport, as well as Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
Best of Volusia/Flagler Preps athletes are invited to attend for free and the event is open to family, friends and the general public.
The Daytona Beach News Journal is proud to welcome a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist and two-time World Champion Gymnast, Gabby Douglas, as our featured special guest. Gabby will be live in Daytona for a question and answer session about lessons she’s learned and memories she’s made during her career.
Doors open at 6:00pm. Event starts at 6:30pm. General admission tickets may be purchased for $50. General admission ticket includes dinner, awards ceremony, and presentation by our special guest.
General admission seating is first come, first served in proximity to speaker. Seating is limited. Best of VF Preps athletes will receive an invitation with instructions for claiming your free ticket.
