Children can experience the wonders of Volusia County’s ecosystems
during weekly summer camps at Lyonia Environmental Center, 2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona.
The camps, which will be held Monday through Friday from June 10
through Aug. 9, include:
Ages 5 to 6 ($25 a day or $80 a week)
· Nature Explorers: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10 to 14
Ages 6 to 12 ($25 a day or $80 a week)
· The Art of Nature: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 5 to 9
Ages 6 to 9 ($80 a week)
· Under the Sea: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 17 to 21
· Imaginarium: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24 to 28
· Fins, Flukes and Flippers: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 8 to 12
Ages 10 to 14 ($80 a week)
· Critter Keepers: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 15 to 19
· Just Beachy: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 22 to 26
· Fabulous Floridians: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 29 to Aug. 2
All camps will feature nature hikes, live animal encounters, science
experiments, arts and crafts, and games. Off-site field trips will be included for the 10- to 14-year-olds.
Children should bring lunch and water in a refillable container. Snacks will be served.
