As we prepare for the holiday season, The Volusia Mom hopes that you will take a second to think of our students who are less fortunate. It is so easy to get caught up in the holiday rush, but the joy of Christmas always lays with our children and there are some that are less fortunate than others.
In the 2017-2018 school year, 2,071 students were homeless (PK-12). While there are amazing programs like Food Brings Hope, Provision Packs and Halifax Urban Ministries to assist with food insecurity and other issues, the kind students of my alma mater Seabreeze High School look to make their fellow classmates holiday a little bright.
WE THE PEOPLE club at Seabreeze High School are participating in helping the less fortunate kids at school. If you would like to help a child and make their Christmas wish come true. Pick a ribbon, buy what they asked for & return it back Let’s get all these kids taken care of this Christmas season! Thank you!
